About Us

The Riverside County Office on Aging (OOA) was designated in 1974 by the Board of Supervisors as the County Department on Aging for Planning and Service Area (PSA) 21 and serves as the official Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for Riverside County. The agency is one of 52 departments, and one of 33 state AAAs. It is headquartered at 3610 Central Avenue, Suite 102, Riverside, California, 92506, with satellite offices in the cities of Blythe, Indio, and Riverside (Mission Grove).

Under the Older Americans Act and the Older Californians Act, OOA is charged to provide leadership in developing a home and community-based, consumer-oriented system of services for older persons in Riverside County. This challenge is accomplished under the governance of the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, and a 17-member citizen council, the Advisory Council on Aging, which develops policy and program recommendations.

Our Mission

The Riverside County Office on Aging serves to promote and support a life of dignity, well-being and independence for older adults and persons with disabilities.
