The Office on Aging partners with many local, state, and federal organizations to serve the residents of Riverside County. Many of these partner organizations provide additional resources and services, information about which can be found at the links below.
Administration on Aging (AoA)

The Administration on Aging (AOA) is the principal agency of the U.S Department of Health and Human Services designated to carry out the provisions of the Older Americans Act of 1965 (OAA), as amended (42 U.S.C.A. § 3001 et seq.). The OAA promotes the well-being of older individuals by providing services and programs designed to help them live independently in their homes and communities. The Act also empowers the federal government to distribute funds to the states for supportive services for individuals over the age of 60.

The CalFresh Program, formerly known as Food Stamps and federally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), can add to your food budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table. The program issues monthly electronic benefits that can be used to buy most foods at many markets and food stores.
Program supports and material referenced herein are funded by USDA'S Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program -SNAP.

California Association of Area Agencies on Aging (C4A)

The California Association of Area Agencies on Aging (C4A) is an association of directors of California’s 33 Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) which implement the provisions of the Older Americans Act and the Older Californians Act. It serves as an advocate for meeting the needs of the elderly and adults with disabilities.
California Commission on Aging (CCoA)

The California Commission on Aging (CCoA) serves as "the principal advocate in the state on behalf of older individuals, including, but not limited to, advisory participation in the consideration of all legislation and regulations made by state and federal departments and agencies related to programs and services that affect older individuals." As such it is the principal advisory body to the Governor, State Legislature, and State, Federal and local departments and agencies on issues affecting older individuals in order to ensure a quality of life for older Californians so they may live with dignity in their chosen environment.
California Department of Aging (CDA)

The California Department of Aging (CDA) administers programs that serve older adults, adults with disabilities, family caregivers, and residents in long-term care facilities throughout the State. The Department administers funds allocated under the federal Older Americans Act, the Older Californians Act, and through the Medi-Cal program The Department contracts with the network of Area Agencies on Aging, who directly manage a wide array of federal and state-funded services that help older adults find employment; support older and disabled individuals to live as independently as possible in the community; promote healthy aging and community involvement; and assist family members in their vital care giving role. CDA also contracts directly with agencies that operate the elderly, and certifies Adult Day Health Care centers for the Medi-Cal program.

Established by state law, the mission of the California Senior Legislature (CSL) is to help preserve and enhance the quality of life for older Californians and their families. It is a nonpartisan, volunteer organization made up of 120 elected members to represent seniors throughout the state through legislative action.
Community Action Partnership (CAP)

Riverside County’s Community Action Partnership (CAP) offers a vast array of state and federally funded programs, including utility assistance, legal services, tax preparation, and more.
County of Riverside Adult Protective Services (APS)

Riverside County Adult Protective Services (APS) serves residents 60 years of age and older, as well as dependent adults ages 18-59. It intervenes and assists elder or dependent adults to alleviate physical, sexual, and financial abuse, neglect, isolation, abandonment, abduction, and mental suffering.

Riverside County Veterans’ Services aims to promote and honor all veterans, and enhance their quality of life and that of their dependents and survivors through counseling, claims assistance, education, advocacy, and special projects.
Indepedent Living Partnership (ILP)

In addition to other programs and services, Independent Living Partnership (ILP), a 501(c)(3) organization, administers the TRIP program, a “rider-centered” volunteer driver service that provides transportation assistance to Riverside County residents who are elderly or disabled, do not drive, and have no other transportation supports (e.g., family, access to public transportation, etc.).

National Council on Aging (NCOA)

The National Council on Aging (NCOA) was founded in 1950 as the first charitable organization in the U.S. that would provide a national voice for older Americans and act as their advocates in dealing with service providers and policymakers. NCOA provides a variety of services to older people and caregivers including Benefits Checkup, Economics Checkup, and My Medicare Matters.
National Institute on Aging (NIA)

The National Institute on Aging (NIA), one of the 27 Institutes and Centers of NIH, leads a broad scientific effort to understand the nature of aging and to extend the healthy, active years of life. NIA is the primary federal agency supporting and conducting Alzheimer's disease research.
Network of Care (NoC)

Network of Care (NoC) is part of a broad effort by the County of Riverside to improve and better coordinate long-term care services locally. This comprehensive, internet-based resource is for the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as their caregivers and service providers.
Riverside County Foundation on Aging

The Riverside County Foundation on Aging works to ensure that programs and services provided by the County to its older adults will keep pace with current and future needs. To accomplish this, the Foundation works to strengthen and expand programs offered by the Riverside County Office on Aging, and to support the work of the Riverside County Advisory Council on Aging.
Riverside Community Access Center (CAC)

As the designated Independent Living Center (ILC) of the State Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC) program, the Riverside Community Access Center (CAC) collaborates with the Office on Aging and works with a community network of public, private, and non-profit agencies to form No Wrong Door (NWD) Systems that assist individuals in navigation the complex system of long-term services and supports (LTSS). These NWD Systems assist individuals of any age, ability, and income level in navigating and accessing the full range of available LTSS options and provide objective and unbiased information, advice, counseling, and assistance.
Social Security Administration

The Social Security Administration administers retirement, disability, survivor, and family benefits, and enroll individuals in Medicare. It also provides Social Security Numbers, which are unique identifiers needed to work, handle financial transactions, and determine eligibility for certain government services.
